Big Daddy is 35!

I love this man, I love him, I love him, I love him! And let me tell you why...He's not to proud to wear a goofy crown made by his kids who spent an hour coloring it just so. He loves getting 7 voice mail messages from his little girl who sings "Happy Birthday" to him over and over again. He doesn't ask for anything for his birthday except a quite night at home with just the family. He doesn't want to go out, he just wants good ol' spaghetti, salad and garlic bread to make him happy. Home made cards are his favorite. His little girl giggling at every rip of the present makes him laugh. He thinks its cool that his son did math problems on the inside of his card. He's willing to sacrifice his special birthday cake by letting 4 little kids spit on it in order to get the candles blown out. He shared his favorite cake (German chocolate) with a little ankle bitter who doesn't ask, just grunts at him. He comments on how delicious the cake is becuase he was just told that it was "made with love" by his little princess. He helps with the dishes on his birthday because "if we all help, then it goes faster and we have more time together". Who wouldn't love this man! Happy Birthday Honey. You are the greatest man alive!

Kenna worked so hard to make this birthday special for her daddy. All day long she was making him cards. She pretty much made the whole cake by herself and she called to sing him happy birthday a number of times. Always thinking of making others feel special. Thats our Missy Moo.
This is the "birthday wand" that she made for Jay! HILARIOUS! This is Jay waving his wand! So manly!

Bald is Beautiful!

Sarah's 3 older brothers with hair...

and with out.

Off goes Jaxon's hair!

Not a bad look for my boys!

Let me tell you about Sarah Yenor. She is a 6 year old kindergartner at Foundations, where my kids go to school, and she was diagnosed with cancer in January. She has just undergone chemo and all of her hair just fell out a few weeks ago. Her family is incredibly relying on the Lord through this time and they have been a inspiring picture of how as believers we can go through the hardest of times...times that break your heart and try your faith, but with Christ as your Lord you can have the strength to overcome any kind of heart ache. The school had a fund raiser for Sarah yesterday after school and for support you could shave your head to show Sarah you love her. I wasn't able to go but after talking to Cindy (she drives Jaxon home everyday and she and her daughter and son shaved their heads) about how many people were there to support the Yenors it brought tears to my eyes. I think there was something like 65 people who shaved their heads. Chanel 7 news was there and will be running a special on 7's hero's this Sunday night. Jaxon and Jay were in line to have their heads shaved but the wait was quite long so they shaved their heads last night at home. Pray for Sarah and her family if you think of it. They still have a lot ahead of them.

EASTER

The Whole Family in Pretty Pastels!

What adorable kiddo's!

Heather & Kenna

Steph & Heather, hard at work in the kitchen!

Who's ready for an egg hunt? Kenna looks like she's posing for a magazine picture!

Of course this was taken AFTER we had the family pictures taken.

The Easter boys

Heather, Steph & Bridgette

Hippity Hop Hop, Hippity Hop Hop, look at that Tyger go!

This is my nephew Levi and this is his first Easter. His mommy doesn't know but Auntie Heather put a little Easter chocolate on his finger! mmmmm!

We had a very enjoyable Easter this year. We went to church to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ and then rejoiced in our salvation by eating a big meal with our friends the Crocker's and our family, Chad, Bridgette, Emme & Levi. All the little girls looked so cute in their pretty dressed and the boys looked so handsome. We ate, then had an Easter egg hunt and then the kids ate all the candy they could! Emme was the best...she would wander around from basket to basket (unattained of course) and would sneak a few treats for her self along with the ones she already had in her own basket! TOO CUTE! Ty and Levi didn't get in on the hunting...maybe next year. Later in the day the kids and a few of the adults hit the hot tub for a little while. All in all it was a good day.

It's Official!

Kenna, age 5 1/2, lost her first tooth the day before Easter. We were getting ready to eat dinner which consisted of corn on the cob, one of Kenna's favorites. Suddenly her eyes welled up with tears and she said "I cant eat this, my tooth is too loose, but its my favorite and I want to eat it so bad!" So mommy checked out the situation and little "toofy" number one was ready for extraction! One quick pull and out she came. My little girl, who is not known for her self control when it comes to pain, handled the situation with bravery! A few minutes of swooshing salt water and back at the dinner table she was...to quickly realize that the other little loose tooth was also keeping her from eating her favorite corn on the cob! This time it was a full on SOB! Daddy being the sweety that he is (and a sucker for his baby girls tears) said "whenever someone looses a tooth we need to celebrate with ice cream". So we ditched the corn and off to 31 Flavors we went!!!

Oh and one more thing. Kenna is pretty proud of the fact that she lost her first tooth at age 5 and Jaxon didn't loose his until he was 6. This is a big deal in our house!

It's Spring Time!

How do I know its spring time? For most people its the flowers blooming, the warm rain and even the chirping of birds, but for me its the sound of my honey's Harley Davidson revving in the drive way. The sound makes the kids run for their helmets screaming "Can I have a ride daddy?!" And off they go! Isn't spring time grand!

Jax is 8!

I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be this way...he cant be turning 8 already! Where has the time gone! But if he is really 8 then a wonderful 8 year old he is! My Jax is a responsible boy who loves sports, video games and doing anything with his dad or family. For his birthday we rented a jumping house with an obstacle course and that was the best entertainment money can buy! Jaxon had 8 of his friends from school and church come for a rough time in the jumping house and a little basketball game. We had apple crisp for dessert (Jaxon doesn't like cake), opened presents and played in the jumping house more! He had a great time but was exhausted...and how do I know this...well, instead of staying up to watch the final 4 which was a birthday privilege he asked us to tape it so he could go to bed and watch it later! Happy Birthday Jaxon, I love you and I am so proud of what a great boy you are. May the Lord bless you and may you continue to grow in HIM!

Spring Break!

I have to say its been a while since Ive had a "spring break", of course I didn't really have a "break" but it was still a good time even if I was slightly sleep deprived. We (we being me and my 4 children) drove to Yakima, Washington to stay 5 days with my parents and to visit all the other family that live in the area. We had a good time hanging out. Sometimes its just nice to not have a packed agenda! We went to Toppenish one day to visit the Clark's, I spent one day with Grandpa Rog & Grandma Norma, which was really fun cause I got to look through old pictures of them & of my dad when they were young. I spent time with Josh, Heather, Jase and Ella, but not that much because they followed me to Boise to spend their spring break with us! SO we got to spend lots of time with just them, only it was in Boise and as usual it was a blast! I also got to see my great friend from High School, Heidi. Mom and I spent a lot of time hanging out which was great. But with all that being said, I know why God intended for a family to have a father and a mother....there is NO way I could be a good parent with out having Jay as my partner.
