No glasses for now...

I took Kenna to the Eye Dr. yesterday and what we found out is that most kids are far sighted until the age of 6 (this is why you will see kids get really close to the books that they are looking at). But because Kenna has to fluctuate from looking at her school work to looking at the white board the muscles in her eyes (which aren't fully developed) don't relax enough for her to see far away with out it being blurry. So she is not near sighted, she just needs to relax! Just kidding! =) There isn't much they can do to correct it, her eyes will just need to figure it out, unless of course it gets worse. If that happens then she will need glasses for reading her school work but not to see long distances. So the curse of her parents hasn't really hit her at a young age! Which I asked about that too and he said that just because Jay & I were nearly blind that doesn't mean any of our kids will have bad eye sight at all. So there is hope!

The Rivalry Begins!

Jaxon's best friend Mitchell is also playing football in the same league. We desperately tried to get them on the same team but to no avail. Last year they weren't on the same team either so we knew our chances were slim that it would happen this year. Last year they didn't even play each other but not this year! GAME 1: Lineberry (Jaxon's team) VS. Meridian Red (Mitchell's team). We were so excited when we found out and that made the anticipation of the game even more fun! I was talking to Steph (Mitchell's mom) on the phone and Jaxon told me to tell her to tell Mitchell that "he was going down!" Of course he says this with a huge grin on his face. And Mitch replies back "No way dude, our defense is awesome!". They had a great time taunting each other in the days before the game. So game day arrives and wouldn't you know it, both teams are RED, and not two different shades of RED, the same, with the same white letters on it too! But even funnier was when the boys saw each other in their jerseys they realized they were the same number!!! #24. Too funny. Of course they thought that was "awesome". With Jay coaching Steph and I sat on the sidelines and yelled for both teams! Jaxon & Mitchell never came in contact with each other because they never played opposite each other but they had a blast seeing each other out there. Jaxon's team won by two touch downs and he was a gracious winner. He slapped Mitch on the back and told him "great game" and then pointed out all the good pulls that Mitchell had. It tickles me pink to see my boy be such an encourager to other on and off the field. Jaxon had some awesome pulls one which I got a picture of. Check it out below. He had one interception and two passes thrown to him which he caught. He pulled something like 12 flags and he hustled like it was the championship game! Oh, I love football!
Jaxon & Coach (what a hottie Jaxon has for a coach)

Jaxon is the guy closest to the kid with the ball...

And now he's the guy on the ground who just pulled this kids flag! Nice Pull! I was of course Screamin!

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth"

Missy Moo is loosing her teeth left & right! Last Wednesday she lost her first top front tooth and the next day she lost the other. It is the cutest thing to hear her talk....she has a whistle and a slur that wasn't there before but is SO adorable. Here are the pics to prove it! She is too cute!
One top tooth gone!

The next day when she got home from school she smiled and her other front tooth was all crooked so we decided to take it too! She wanted Jaxon to take a picture of her getting her tooth pulled out, so here it is!

Who knew toothless could be so adorable!

Goodbye Lover

Kenna came home today from school & said:

"Teah is a goodbye lover!"

"What's that?" I asked

"You know someone who loves to say goodbye" she says with a look on her face as if I have no brain.

"she says goodbye to everyone...even people she doesn't know....that's a goodbye lover!"

Now I am informed!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend in Bend Oregon....Beautiful!

Here I am kicking booty in Horse Shoes. Jay was so frustrated that I was beating him that his throws kept getting worse and worse! He didn't know I had this hidden talent!

I just really like this picture. =)

My 4 little dirty campers!

Huddy found lots of "coconuts" on our nature walk. I tried to tell them they were pine cones but he wouldn't have it...they were coconuts.

Here's Missy Moo singing her heart out, on a log, down by the river. Who needs TV when you have Kenna...she's more entertaining then any show.

Jay's sister Kelli & her boys (Marcos & Lucas) camped with us one day.

Here are all the cousins (-Ty). They had a great time playing together as you can see!

Jay & Kenna walking on top of this HUGE tree that had fallen to the ground. Of course I didn't take a picture of the tree so you could see how big it was...just believe me. It was big and they all had fun climbing on it.

Huddy loved wearing his hood around.

Nothing better than warm Cinnamon rolls by the campfire to get your morning started! Yum!

It's smore time!

The kids had a blast roasting marshmallows together. We laughed hard when they would have a perfectly roasted mallow and then it would fall off into the fire, or catch on fire, or drop into the dirt! Very entertaining!

Here is the whole gang together. This doesn't happen very often so it was great to get a picture of Jay's moms side of the family all together. To bad there is a big sun spot on the right side of the picture.

Hudson, Lucas, Ty, Kenna, Jaxon & Marcos

Kenna & Lucas are the same age and they had a great time playing together. They really like to do a lot of the same things. Here they built a fort in Gramma Kris' back yard. Huddy played to but then tore the tent down because he didn't want the other kids to play in it. Stinker!

KaChow!

We were driving to Bend this weekend and ran into a thunder and lightning storm. It was pretty phenomenal...so for an hour or so we all looked out the windows trying to see the lightning bolts strike. Well, Hudson saw a flash and he yells:

"I saw Lightnings KaChow thing, Dad!" Lightning is Lightning McQueen from the movie CARS.

We all laughed and then we tried to tell him that the light he sees is called lightning. He didn't get it. To Hudson the lightning he saw was the sticker on Lightning McQueen that goes "KaCHow!"

These are the things I want to remember!
