This last weekend my grandparents came to visit and we had a great time visiting and playing with them. We stayed up late talking and watching "shark week" on the discovery channel (why we watched that a week before we leave for Hawaii...I don't know!). One afternoon we spent swimming. Norma-ama ( or Nama Nama as Huddy called her) played the whole time with Hudson who became even more comfortable in the water because of her patience with him. But Grandpa Rog, on the other hand, wanted to hang with the big kids. Jaxon's jumping off the diving board then so should he.....Yikes! I captured his first dive...check it out!
Here he is contemplating whether this is a good idea or not. Mind you he just had a hip replacement not even a year ago.
The first bounce....
Uh oh! This isn't looking to good...
He tips off the diving board but catches himself on the edge of the pool....
And dives in!!!! He was inches away from cracking his head on the side of the pool. Kids...this is how NOT to dive off the diving board. You'd think that would persuade him to stay off the board the rest of the day...but NO! He was right back up there trying it out again...and he didn't make the same mistake twice!
OLD GUYS RULE!

Seriously - one of the funniest moments we've enjoyed in quite a while. I can't express how close he came to hitting the concrete step.... We love G-Pa ROG!
